I’ve been wanting to do some sort of tribute painting for Australia since I first heard about the country wide devastation from the horrific fires burning, but just never got around to it.

Although this koala is surrounded by darkness and devastation it has a strong grasp on a bright and beautifully blossomed sunflower which is meant to represent the hope and survival that Australia has as a whole. ❤️

Once the pandemic we are currently facing has subsided (🤞🏼) I will be raffling/auctioning off this mouth painted koala to try and do my small part in raising funds to donate to Australia’s relief fund.

It really is not about how you start but how you finish! Shading and color layering at the end of a project allows you to really fine-tune the details and pull your vision for the piece together even if in the beginning it doesn’t feel or look like it will turn out any good.
